About me

CEREMONY WRITER AND OFFICIANT – BASED IN FRANCE (Toulouse, Paris, Bretagne)

Anouck Mugnier

Deeply passionate about couples’ history and singularity, I naturally began to work in the wedding industry as a ceremony officiant in 2016. Quickly, I understood that there was much more to building a ceremony than just pick a reading, have someone give a speech and write about marriage in a mainstream way. I noticed that a lot of couples asked me « what am I supposed to do/say/choose/want »? And, of course, my answer was always: just pick what makes you feel like yourself! But I figured it was not an easy thing to do, because most couples had just not taken the time to do a simple introspection of their couple and their own personalities.

I like to meet new people and especially new couples. I like to hear your story, understand what make you compatible and in love. I like to see you put into words what makes the other so unique to your eyes, and feel the complicity and trust that you share. I like to identify the values that unite you as well as your life projects and common goals, all of which are at the source of the life path you are co-creating everyday.

And above all, I like to observe how the preparation of your ceremony helps you to become even closer, more intimate, and allows you to (re)-formulate all the essential life guiding questions.

My approach

If you feel like a happy marriage is the key to a happy life. If you think your ceremony should reflect exactly who you are. If you do not want a religious ceremony AND still want this moment to be meaningful and engaging, we’ll get along very well!

I see the ceremony preparation as a privileged moment. A pause that you treat yourself with, in the midst of your wedding planning. A peaceful moment of quality time, shared with your spouse to be, spent to focus on the essential: your couple and your future marital life.

The more time, effort and consciousness you put into discussing, reflecting on your relationship, reading about marriage and communication, the more emotional the moment will be on the day. Whether you opt for a long or a short ceremony; a ceremony with speeches or readings; an elopement or a big ceremony, what will really make the difference – emotionally speaking-, is your involvement in the creative process.

Along meetings and questionnaires, I will get to know you and I will extract the essence of your couple. From there we will build, step by step, a ceremony that reflects who you are and that will mark the first day of the rest of your life.
